Today, my JRSC started to squeak...I put my ears against the area and I believe (80%) the squeaking is probably coming from the blower's pulley...I'm almost certain that the noise is NOT originating from the internal of the blower itself. The blower has about 6K miles on it. Is this squeaking is "normal" or is it something that needs to be fixed? I'll probably bring the car into Acura service center for them to take a look but I doubt that they will do anything about it...

More likely it's the $30 tensioner pulley.
Is your's worn into the aluminum?

Is replacing this pulley difficult? The noise is not obnoxiously loud, although enough to annoy. It's about 3 times louder than when the charger was first installed.
As for the worn, I looked at the tensioner. There are some worn on it but not obsessive. It is just barely took off the black paint on the tensioner. Any other thoughts?

If the Tensioner pulley is worn it may cause you not 2 be creating full boost. Check your boost gauge to see if you are getting full boost. most likely if its squeking its slipping also. I only know this cause MR Rogers had this hapeen to him , and he was only getting 5lbs boost..... just a thought..

Add a new belt to the list too. The old one is now impregnated with aluminum - it will greatly reduce the life of the new pulley if not replaced.

Random, replace the pulley.
The one that JR sends now is larger than the one orginally shipped with your kit. Larger pulley, turns slower, equals less heat. The bearings will last longer... make sure you are getting the larger replacement from JR.
JUST REPLACE IT (and the belt!!! Bando 610 for GSR)
You can do it yourself in about an hour.
Make sure they put some Loctite on the blower pulley bolt.

Okay, just got back from Acura. They said they'll put in a new pulley (free parts/labor since it's still under warranty)..however, they need to get it from JR since one isn't in stock. They said they'll ordered it overnight and it should be here tomorrow for me. Well, I'm not sure if the mechanic has adjusted something while he was checking out the problem or the car has "fixed" itself but the noise is GONE when I got it back...no more squeaking.
Should I even bother to come back tomorrow to have the new one put in??? Does it worth the trouble?

Larger S/C tension pulley? Mine's 2" dia. They had one larger when the GSR kits first came out, but when I upgraded to my black anodized pulleys last fall, they were both 2" dia.

Both times I had the problem, JEA changed the belt at no charge.
